Surfing the Internet to Prepare for SOL’s
The Internet can be a very powerful tool for helping students prepare for their Standards of Learning tests. Listed below are some SOL web sites that may be useful in preparing your child for the SOL tests. As always, parents should monitor the sites their children are visiting on the web.

- Check out these links: Jefferson Lab, Proof Reading Makes Perfect, Grammar Gold, Read Story and Answer Questions (second one), and The English Zone.
- FunBrain.com and FunSchool.com offer cute interactive games. Unfortunately you may receive some annoying popup ads.

- Once you select a subject area, try the link for “Games and Tests”. Play Jeopardy and Millionaire as a way to review for science and social studies.
